Modern Slavery Policy

Introduction

EOS Agile is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chain. We fully support the principles enshrined in the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and we operate in accordance with UK legislation to combat all forms of modern slavery, including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We believe in promoting transparency and ethical practices across our business operations and expect the same high standards from our partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.

We recognises the serious crime of modern slavery and its devastating impact on individuals and society. We are committed to:

  • Conducting our business with integrity and ensuring that our operations are free from modern slavery practices.
  • Taking appropriate measures to identify, mitigate, and address risks of modern slavery within our business operations and supply chains.
  • Promoting transparency and collaboration with stakeholders to safeguard human rights and fair labour practices.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain is essential to the delivery of our services. It includes suppliers of materials, labour, and subcontracted services in the construction sector. We recognise that the construction industry, due to its size and complexity, can be vulnerable to risks of modern slavery. To mitigate these risks, we are committed to implementing the following actions:

  • Due Diligence: Conducting thorough due diligence on all suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with modern slavery laws.
  • Supplier Contracts: Requiring all suppliers to agree to our standards on ethical labour practices and confirm their own compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
  • Ongoing Assessment: Regularly reviewing and assessing our supply chain for modern slavery risks, particularly in high-risk areas.

Policies and Procedures

EOS Agile has established policies and procedures to support our commitment to combatting modern slavery. These include:

  • Code of Conduct: Outlining the ethical standards that we expect from all employees, suppliers, and partners.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: Providing a safe and confidential mechanism for employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices within our operations or supply chain.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct: Ensuring that all third-party suppliers are aware of our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and human trafficking, and requiring them to sign and adhere to our ethical standards.

Due Diligence Process

EOS Agile applies a strict due diligence process when engaging new suppliers and subcontractors. This includes:

  • Pre-Qualification Checks: Reviewing suppliers’ policies and practices regarding modern slavery and ensuring they adhere to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
  • Supplier Audits: Performing periodic audits, with a focus on suppliers identified as higher risk, to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Contractual Commitments: Embedding anti-modern slavery clauses in supplier and subcontractor contracts, including a requirement for suppliers to monitor their own supply chains and report on modern slavery risks.

Training and Awareness

We believe that awareness is a key tool in the fight against modern slavery. As such:

  • Employee Training: EOS Agile provides modern slavery awareness training for all employees, focusing on how to identify the signs of modern slavery and the steps to take if they suspect any unethical practices.
  • Supplier Engagement: We work closely with suppliers to ensure they are aware of our expectations regarding modern slavery and to promote best practices throughout our supply chain.

Continuous Improvement

We recognise that combatting modern slavery requires ongoing vigilance. EOS Agile is committed to:

  • Continuous Learning: Keeping abreast of best practices, industry trends, and legal developments related to modern slavery and adapting our policies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Engaging with industry bodies, peers, and governmental organisations to share insights and collaborate on initiatives to address modern slavery in the construction sector.

Reporting Concerns

EOS Agile encourages the reporting of any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices within our business or supply chain. Any concerns can be reported through:

  • Our Whistleblowing Policy, which provides a confidential and anonymous channel for reporting suspected cases of modern slavery.
  • Management and HR Representatives, who are trained to handle such reports with the highest level of sensitivity and seriousness.

Conclusion

EOS Agile is fully committed to maintaining a business that is free from modern slavery and human trafficking. We will continue to take proactive steps to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and uphold the highest standards of ethical practice across all of our operations and supply chains.

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as required to reflect new risks, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
